Try your hand at wild valley quail. At Red Bank we get after these hearty native upland birds “Texas-style.” The season is limited under California law during October through January and demand for this short season is high.


Valley quail are hunted on a magnificent 5,000-acre ranch just north of Red Bank. Groups of up to four are guided out of utility vehicles to cover the vast terrain offered in such a magnificent environment. This is perhaps the ultimate test of a hunter’s quickness and shooting ability.
